What is CNA Training?
CNA training from the LA Skills Academy NAT Program in Commerce meets the California Department of Public Health’s requirements for Nurse Assistant Training in California, ensuring students receive 60 hours of classroom/online theory lectures and 100 hours of supervised hands-on clinical experience at a local Skilled Nursing Facility. Every class is instructed by highly experienced nurses, maintaining a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure quality education. The program’s fast-paced and structured approach instills a high expectation of excellence, preparing students to provide compassionate care within the healthcare system.
Through lecture, video instruction, role-playing, hands-on skills demonstration, and clinical practice, students master essential patient care techniques such as bathing, dressing, positioning, and measuring vital signs. Additionally, students enrolled in our CNA school in Commerce receive life skills training, including resume building and interview preparation, to enhance their job prospects after graduation. Once students successfully complete the NAT Program, they become eligible to take the California Nurse Assistant State Exam, allowing them to officially obtain their CNA certification and start their careers in healthcare.
