LA Skills Academy’s Nurse Assistant Training (NAT) program is officially recognized by the California Department of Public Health, a testament to its high standards and commitment to excellence in healthcare education. The curriculum includes 60 hours of engaging academic instruction, available both online and in-person, along with 100 hours of supervised clinical training conducted in a certified Skilled Nursing Facility. Instructors bring real-world experience into the classroom, using a small-group teaching model to help students develop both the technical expertise and empathetic approach essential to high-quality patient care. Designed for fast-track completion, this program is ideal for individuals ready to enter the healthcare field with confidence and competence.
At Desert View Highlands, the program is delivered through a mix of instructional formats, including live demonstrations, interactive labs, video tutorials, and structured role-play exercises. Students build a solid foundation in core CNA tasks such as personal hygiene care, patient mobility, and health monitoring.
