Online CNA Training

Learn how to provide hands-on patient care, including assisting with daily activities, taking vital signs, and supporting patient comfort in clinical settings. This 100% online program prepares you for the CNA state exam and is fully approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Course Duration: 160 Hours

Online CNA Training

Class Format

The CNA course follows a hybrid format. Your theory hours (60 hours) are completed through live Zoom classes, where you learn directly from an instructor in real time. Your clinical hours (100 hours) take place in person at an approved clinical site, giving you hands-on experience in a real care setting.

Eligibility Requirements

To enroll in the CNA program at Los Angeles Skills Academy, you must:
 

  • Be at least 16 years old (parental consent required if under 18). 18 years old if enrolling in Lancaster, CA.

  • Have a valid Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Tax ID Number (ITIN)

  • Be able to read, write, and understand English at a basic 5th-grade level.

  • Pass a physical exam and TB test to ensure you can safely perform clinical duties.

  • Pass a criminal background check as required by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). If you have any questions about your qualifications due to your history, please contact the office.

Is There a State Exam?

Yes. After completing your CNA online training, you’ll need to pass the CNA State Exam.

Online RNA Training

This 100% online, self-paced course teaches you how to support patients in regaining strength, mobility, and independence. You’ll learn to assist with daily tasks, track progress, and guide therapeutic exercises alongside nursing and rehab teams.

Class Format

When you register for this online course, you receive immediate access to your online training materials. Most of the coursework is presented in a written format, with select pre-recorded components included to support your learning. You can move through the materials at your own pace and revisit them whenever needed.

Eligibility Requirements

To enroll in the RNA program with LA Skills Academy, you must be a current CNA or an active CNA student. If you’re still in training, you’ll receive your Restorative Nursing Assistant certificate after you earn your CNA certification.

Is There a State Exam?

No. RNA training does not require a separate state exam.
