Become a Certified Nursing Assistant in Oxnard
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists individuals with daily tasks and provides basic healthcare support under the close supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. This position may also be referred to as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, or Nurse’s Aid, and plays a vital, hands-on role in direct patient care and support.
Many students from Oxnard pursue the CNA path to gain initial experience in the healthcare field. Some use their CNA foundation to move forward in their healthcare careers, becoming an LPN or RN, while others, already enrolled in nursing school, rely on CNA experience to deepen their understanding through practical application. For some, CNA training is simply a way to explore whether continuing on a more advanced healthcare journey feels right for their future.
