What is CNA Training?
LA Skills Academy’s CNA training, provided through the NAT Program, fulfills the California Department of Public Health’s training requirements for Nurse Assistants in California. The program includes 60 hours of classroom or online theory lessons and 100 hours of clinical practice under the supervision of professionals at a local Skilled Nursing Facility. Our experienced nursing instructors teach in small classes, providing individualized attention and ensuring a quality educational experience. With a rigorous and fast-paced curriculum, we aim for excellence in training our students to provide compassionate, hands-on care in the healthcare system.
Through a mix of lectures, videos, role-play exercises, hands-on demonstrations, and clinical practice, our nursing assistant program in Arcadia teaches vital skills such as bathing, dressing, positioning, and taking vital signs. We also offer life skills training that prepares students for the job market, including resume creation and interview strategies.
