What is CNA Training?
LA Skills Academy offers a comprehensive CNA training program through our Nurse Assistant Training (NAT) program, meeting all criteria set by the California Department of Public Health. This program includes 60 hours of theoretical instruction, which can be delivered either in the classroom or online, as well as 100 hours of hands-on clinical practice at a local Skilled Nursing Facility. Our skilled instructors ensure that students receive personalized attention in a small class setting, upholding high standards of excellence. The program is designed to help students provide compassionate care to those in need.
Our Cerritos CNA training incorporates various methods, including lectures, role-playing, videos, and practical demonstrations. Students will gain expertise in vital procedures such as bathing, dressing, and monitoring vital signs. Life skills, such as resume development and interview preparation, are also part of the curriculum to ensure students are ready to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. Upon completing the NAT Program, students are eligible to sit for the California Nurse Assistant State Exam and become Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA).
