Los Angeles Skills Academy CNA Training: City Terrace

What is a CNA?
In every healthcare environment, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a key role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care that truly makes a difference. From helping with daily routines to offering emotional reassurance, CNAs are the friendly faces patients rely on. They work under Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs), often going by titles such as Nursing Assistants, Nurse’s Aides, or Patient Care Assistants (PCAs). Whether in hospitals, senior care centers, rehab facilities, or home settings, their presence contributes immensely to patient comfort and recovery.
In City Terrace, CNA training has become a trusted way to begin a rewarding career in healthcare. Many individuals choose this path to get real-life exposure to clinical environments before moving on to advanced roles like LVNs or RNs. Others take on the role while still studying, gaining experience and income simultaneously. For those exploring their options, CNA certification provides a practical lens into the healthcare field, offering valuable insight and personal growth.
Our CNA program offers not just essential skills, but also a sense of purpose and direction. Designed by professionals in both education and healthcare, our curriculum combines theoretical coursework with hands-on practice to produce confident, capable CNAs ready to contribute to their communities with compassion and care.

CNA Training From The Best:
LA Skills Academy
The inception of LA Skills Academy (LASA) was driven by a collective of highly trained nurses who previously instructed within the American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training (NAT/CNA) Program. Motivated by a shared passion for educational excellence, they set out to create an academy that would raise the bar in CNA training. Backed by over a decade of industry experience, LASA introduced a comprehensive NAT Program that fuses academic learning, virtual flexibility, and direct clinical experience. The curriculum was built with a student-centered focus, ensuring accessibility across all learning styles. Today, as an authorised Red Cross NAT training site, LASA continues to uphold its founding mission of preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
