What is CNA Training?
CNA training at LA Skills Academy in East LA is fully approved by the California Department of Public Health, meeting the required 60 hours of classroom or online theory instruction along with 100 hours of supervised hands-on clinical experience at a Skilled Nursing Facility. Our classes, led by expert nurses, maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio, ensuring a focused and structured learning environment. With high standards and an emphasis on compassionate care, our East LA CNA program equips students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to excel in the healthcare field.
Students develop their expertise through a combination of lectures, instructional videos, role-playing exercises, hands-on skills training, and direct clinical practice. Key patient care techniques such as bathing, dressing, positioning, and monitoring vital signs are emphasized throughout the program. Additionally, our CNA school in East LA offers life skills training, including resume writing and interview preparation, to prepare students for employment opportunities after graduation. After completing the NAT Program, graduates are eligible to take the California Nurse Assistant State Exam, making them fully certified to begin their careers as CNAs.
